If you haven’t heard of this race yet, do some research. This is a spectacular race set in the beautiful Outeniqua mountains above George, in the Western Cape.
Starting and ending in the George Botanical Gardens, this event has been chosen to host the SA Long Distance Trail Champs on 14th June 2014. Its a 38km course with some 2000m of ascent. Expect gruelling mountain climbs, running along ridge lines, fynbos, technical lines and flowing single track. This route has it all.
If the thought of running 38km makes your knees weak, there is a 25km and 10km option too. Both of which take you through beautiful scenery in the Outeniqua mountains.
